Herbert Samuel, Postmaster-General, speaking at a> Chamber of Commerce banquet, said that the Imperial wireless system would be of immense value, especially strategically. Before long he hoped that three leaps would connect England with India, and two more leaps effect a connection with Australia, and in addition he hoped that the Government would, before long, obtain control of all cable business.
