* m MASTERTON STOCK SALE. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Masterton stock , sale lield -in the Solway yards yesterday as follows:—We submitted a heavy yarding of sheep, totalling six and comprising several lines of good breeding ewes, wethers and lambs. The was satisfactory, and although tho sale opened badly, matters improved considerably during the day, and 'bidding at auction was animated. With the exception of two small pons of cull ewes, we cleared the whole of our entry at auction at prices in excess of those ruling recently. The entry offered on behalf of Messrs H. and G. Laing stood out by themselves, being heavy-woolled sheep in splendid condition and showing .signs of careful breeding. Competition for all lines was very keen, and satisfactory iprices obtained, the aged ewes making 13s 4d to 13s sd; 2-tooth ewes 13s 6d; cull ewes, 12s lOd; and cull woolly lambs, 8s 3d. A line of 280 -1-year ewes offered ,on behalf of the Matahiwi Estate top/ped the market for the season at 1-fs 3d. A line of good conditioned ewes sold on behalf of Messrs George Shaw and Son.
