WEDDING BELLS

CROAD—JONES. A pretty wedding' was solemnised at St. Peter's Church, Pahiatua, yesterday, the contracting parties being Mr Baziel Rayner 'Croad, son of Mr and Mrs H. Croad, of Ballance, and Miss Olive Jones, only daughter of Mv and Mrs T. Jones, of Ballance. The bride looked charming in a cream silk Empire dress, with veil and orange blossoms, and wa« attended by four bredesmaids, Misses Clarice Croad, K. Harris (in pale-blue silk muslin and cream hats), and Mavis Jones and -D. Harris in white muslin and forget-me-not wreaths. After thei ceremony, the Vicar, the Rev. C.' Isaacson, gave an address, and the "Wedding March", was played by Miss Allen. The bridegroom presented the bride with a gold bangle, and the bridesmaids with gold and ruby brooches. The wedding party were entertained at a sumptuous breakfast at the Ballance Hall, and after the usual toaste were honoured, the ibride and bridegroom left for Napier, where the honeymoon is to be spent, the bride wearing a costume of navy blue cloth, and turquoise blue hat, with white feathers. Mr - • Croad, of-'Pon-garoa, was best man.
