WELLINGTON, Last Night, Tenders are to he called for ; the building of a laundry master's house and manager's house at the Stoke Orphanage, Nelson. Cabinet also decided to-dav to authorise the purchase of £IO,OOO worth of rails and' sleeners for a new branch line from Ohakune to Raetihi. About £II.OOO has been voted for purchasing rails intended for the Napier-Gisborne rail- 1 way at the Napier end. Extensive additions are to be made to the School for Deaf Mutes at Sumner. To that end Cabinet decided to-day. to accept a tender for about £3OQO worth of buildings, comprising a new wing containing much needed class rooms accommodation and hospital. A tender was accepted to-day for tih'e erection of a post office at Otane, Hawke's Bay.
