AN INJUSTICE.
An injustice has been done the Committee of .A.. *uid P« Association by the publication ot ji "statement- that the selection of Mr J. B. Emmett for the position of permanent secretary of the Association is a foregone conclusion. Mr Emmett is undoubtedly ah excejlent man for the position,- and his claims will no douht be ifully considered by the Committee. But to assert that hi&_ election is a foregone conclusion is misleading other applicants, and practically accusing the Committee of throwing away the money ot the Association in calling for applications. The fact that a committee ha® been set up to deal with the applications and sift out the probables from the improbables is sufficient evidence that nothing has been l'ctlt-;ind-dried" in connection with the matter.
