CISBORNE CRIGKET. (By Telegraph — Press A ssociation . ) GISBORNE, Last Night. H. L. McMahbn, the Gi shorne cricketer, who has caused such interest by his sensational batting, was dismissed for the second time this season on Saturday, after scoring 46 in good style. A fast-medium hall from Hosier, which kept low and made pace from the pitch, got past and shattered his sticks. McMahon's mammoth batting average of 652 was thus dropped to 349. That MeMahon is a good all-round,cricketer is proved by the fact that he captured 7 wickets for 49 on Saturday with his -slow leg breaks. \v. Gibson, another Gisborne batsman who has been scoring .sensationally th's season, hit up 62 on Saturday for United against Taruheru. Gibson's aggregate to date in the senior competition matches tin's season is 1456 for 22 innings, four times not out, giving him an average of 78.21. Hawks's Bay plays Poverty Bay here on 23rd and 21th of this month.
