EKETAHUNA STOCK SALE.

Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Eketahuna stock . sale held yesterday as follows: —We had an exceptionally heavy yarding comprising 3885 sheep and 101 head of cattle, and we have to report an almost total clearance, only one pen of sheep and two of cattle passing out unsold. Quotations : —Sheep—Sound mouth breeding ewes, best, 9s to lis Id; others, 8s to 9s; 2, 4 and 6-tooth and 4-year ewes, best, lis 5d to 12s 6d; others, 9s to 10s 8d ;'4 and 6-tooth ewes, best, 12s to 13s 6d; others, lis Id to lis Sd; 2-tooth ewes, best, 12s 6d to 14s; others, 9s 8d to 10s 7d; cull ewes, Ss to 8s 3d; mixed 2-tooths, 9s 9d; black face lambs, 6s, lid to 7s 9d; culls, 3s -2d to 5s 3d; 2400 th wethers, lis 9d to 13s; fat wethers, --

14 s 6d; three-shear Southdown rams, 3i to 3£gns ; old Southdown rams, 5s to 21s'; old Lincoln rams,. 5s to 21s. Cattle :—Weancrs, 30s; eighteen months steers. £3 13s; cows and calves, £3 10s; 2-year heifers, in calf. £3 17s. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their Eketahuna sale yesterday: — A good entry of all classes of stock came forward. Prices throughout Avere well maintained for good sound breeding ewes and wethers. Forward lambs also sold well.' Aged ewes and poor conditioned sorts were not in demand. We bad a total clearance at the following prices— Cull lambs 3s Sd to 4s 6d; medium lambs, 6s 3d to 6s lid; better sorts, 7s lOd to 8s; aged ewes, 4s 6d to 7s 6d ; sound mouth ewes, 9s 9d to 10s 6d; small 2-tooth lis 6d to 13s; aged Southdown rams, to IJ-gns;Tjincoln rams, 22s 6d; cull rams, 7s to lis.
