AND THE TRUST LANDS TRUST,

AGREEMENT ARRIVED AT

At the meeting of . the Mastertbn Trust lands' Trustees last evening, a letter was read from the Secretary of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society, forwarding a resolution from the Society, authorising.their secretary to accept the offer of-the-Trustees for a' site for the hatchery ponds at a yearly rental of £2O. Mr C. E. Daniel 1 that the site pegged out was considered a satisfactory one, and the terms were agreed upon by all sides. He moved that the proposals contained in the ■Society's",letter ho accepted, that a lease be prepared, and that the tenancy of the Society commence as from May next. Mr Jackson seconded, and congratulated the Committee upon the satisfactory outcome of its labours. The motion was carried, and the chairman was authorised to sign the lease when prepared.
