THE VICTORIOUS TRIUMPH. WONDERFUL lISOORD OF SUCCESSES ON TRIUMPH MOTOR OYOLES. At the H.B. Motor Cycle Club's sports iheld on /the Hastings Racecourse on Boxing Day, the Triumphs again practically swept the board. 'Out of an entry of 12 machines repumphs secured ten. firsts, seven seconds, and 4 thirds ou* of a possible eleven events. This performance is all the more -remarkable when it is considered -tfhat the Triumphs had to concede •large handicaps to machines of equal power and six of the ten first mach•ines were ridden by amateur riders. On Saturday. December 30th, Mt J. L. Braithwaite left for Wellington on his Triumph motor cycle to make ■an attempt om the existing figures of the Wellington, to Napier record—*viz. Bhrs 35min., established by Mr H L. Schaeffer on New Year's Day, 1909, also on *v Triumph. In spite of •several atltempts on other makes of machines, this record has stood to the credit of the' Triumph for three years Mr Brathwaite left the Wellington Post Office at 4.20 a.m. on INew Year's Day, and arrived at the Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., has ■time being 6hrs. 38min.., Towerting the ■previous record by nearly -two hours. The Triumph ran perfectly from start to finish,.the only two stops to take an. petrol and oil. It is only perfect machines made from the finest material procurable that can average 33* miles a* hour over 1230 miles of New Zealand roads. _ Those who were at the Napier Post Office at the finish couß not help but remark on the perfect condition of the machine at the finish. The Triumph is mot only made for ■ speed. Tt has proved itself to be the machine for. (hard work and'long wear, and i* perfectly adapted to New Zealand roads.
