MANAGER SELECTED. (Received March 1, 8.4.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, March 1. The team for England has yelected J. Crouch, of Queensland, the Board
of Control's representative, as manager. INDIGNATION MEETING. PROTEST TO THE M.C.C. " NO CONFIDENCE IN BOARD. (Received March 1, 9.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE; March I. A public meeting in connection with the cricket trouble expressed indignation at the action of the Board of Control in excluding six leading x players (Hill,.Trumper, Armstrong, Ransford, Cotter, and Carter). The. Chairman was instructed to cablo to the Matylpbone Club, protesting against the Board's team being received as a representative team, and suggesting that Marylebone should" stipulate that the team must be fully representative of Australian cricket..' It was resolved that the Board,had lost the confidence of the cricketing public. The Hon. A. Fisher will be asked to suggest that the Board agree to the appointment-of three arbitrators.
