MASTERTON—THURSDAY. | (Before Mr L. G. Reid, S.M.) I At the S.M. Court yesterday morn-' ing, judgment was given for plaintiff 'by default in the following cases:— Krahagen and Chapman v. Norman Manson, claim £2 12s, costs £1 2s; I J. Graham and Co. v. Donald Stew-1 art, claim £3 lis 2d, costs ss; Arthur Rigby Bunny v. Harry Sow-ell, claim £7 19s 2d, costs 18s 6d; Wairarapa j Ago Company v. G. MicCaudlisli and Co., claim £ll, costs £1 IDs Gel. J U D;G MENT SUMMONSES. In the judgment su-mmons case of John Lincoln Murray v. John Wingate Nicholson, a claim of £2 13s 3d, there was no appearance of defendant. His Worship ordered payment : of the amount forthwith, in default defendant to be imprisoned in the Wellington Gaol for three days; the Avarrant to be suspended as long as defendant pays the amount prior to March 29th.

Waddington the sum of £4 12s 6d, ] in default three days' imprisonment I in the Wellington Gaol ; order to be suspended provided the defendant pays the amount on or bfeore April 2Dth. Mr O. Pragnell appeared for Mr Waddington. A HOSPITAL CASK. The Wairarapa Hospital and Char-itable-Aid Board claimed from Thomas Ridgway the sum cf £7 4y for maintenance and treatment of a child at the local hospital. Defendant protested that the charge of £1 8s per week for a child under 2 years of age was far too much. / His Worship said that he had to abide by the rate charged by the hospital authorities., and gave judgment for the amount claimed., w.'ith 'ccsts ioL.,' ■
