AMUSEMENTS

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTUREB. A crowded house greeted the first presentation of the current programme at the Foresters' Hall last evening. Of the dramas, "The Brahma Diamond" was a story full of sensational' scenes, while "A Race for a Bride" was a powerful,,,drama of the turf. A pathetic story was contained in "Her Brother's Photograph." "A King's Peril" was a cleverly thought out drama dealing with Anarchism. The Lubin Company provided a capital comedy in "Home is Best after All," while another laughter raiser of a /high order was "A Victim of Circumstances." Some splendid seenics and comics were also presented. The programme will be repeated this evening.
