SWELL-MASTERTON A. AND P. FUNDS. ! With a commendable srpirit of generosity, a number ci settlers presented sheen for sale at the ram fair, in aid of the funds of the- Masterton A. and P. Association. These realised, in the aggregate, a sum of £B6 lis ,'kl. A. Romney ram, .presented by Mr E. Short, of Eeildirig, was re-purek-•xs.-hI bv Mr Short for -lOgns; a Romnev rain donated by JYIr A. Matthews, of' Ecatherston, was purchased by Mr AV. A. Ellis, of Marton, for lo gns; a Romuey rain presented by Mr W Perry, of Penrose, was sold to ,\lr B. Brvant, cf Ohairau, for 10 lor.s; Mr P. Mungavin's Romney ram was disposed of for Signs to Mr E. JPupcr," cf Matahiwi; a Romney ram donated bv Mr W. " Allen, of Clareville, was purchased by Messrs Payne and funis, East Coast, for 6| I gns, and a similar price was obtained for a Romney ram presented by Mr G. E. Allen, Tipua, the purchaser being Mr M. Speedy, of Dannevirke. The first four sheep were sold by Messrs Abraham and AVilliams, and the two latter by the New Zealand 'Loan and Mercantile Agency Company.
