THE VICTORIOUS TRIUMPH. WONMSKiFIJIi OF SUCCESSES ON TRIUMPH MOTOR CYCLES. At the H.B. Motor Cycle Club'ssports (held on the Hastings _ Racecourse on Boxing Day, the Triumph® again practically swept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines representing 5 different makes. tihe Triumph's secured ten firsts, seven seconds, and 4 thirds out of a possible eleven eventsThis performance is all the more remarkable when- it is considered Uhat the Triumphs 1 had to concede large handicaps to machines of equaJ power and six of the ten first uies were .ridden by amateur ndejs. On Saturday, December 30th, Mr J, L. Braithwaite left for Wellington on his Triumph motor cycle to make an attempt oni the existing figures or the Wellington to Napier recordviz., Bhrs 3omin., established by Mr H. L. Schaeffer on New Year's Day, 1909, also on ft Triumph. In. spite of several atffcempts on other makes or machines, this' record has l stood to the credit, of the Triumph for three vears. Mr Rrathwaite left the Wellington. Post Office at 4.20 a.m. on New Year's Day, and arrived at the Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., hia time being 6hrs. 38min., the previous record by nearly t ; wo hours. The Triumph ran perfectly from start to finfsh, the only two stops being to take in petrol and oil. It is only perfect machines made from t>he finest material procurable that oan average 33J miles an hour over 5J30 miles of New Zeailland roads. Those who were at the Napier Post Office at the finish couTd not help but remark on the perfect condition of the machine at the fimnh. The Triumph' is not only made for speed. It has proved itself to be the machine for hard work and long wear, and is perfectly adapted to New Zealand roads.
