THE VICTORIOUS TRIUMPH.

WONDERFUL HIwORD OP SUCCESSES ON TRIUMPH MOTOR CYCLES. At the H.B. Motor Cycle > Club's sports held on tlhe Hastings . Racecourse on Boxing Day, -the Triumphs again practically swept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines representing 5 different makes the Triumph's secured ten firsts, 6even seconds, and 4 thirds out of a possible eleven events. This performance is all the more remarkaole when it is considered the Triumphs had to concede large handicaps to machines of equal power and six of the ten first machines were ridden by amateur, riders. On Saturday, December 30th, Mr J.---L. Braithwaite left for Wellington on his Triumph motor cycle to make an attempt oni the existing figures of the Wellington to Napier record—viz., Bhrs 35min., established by Mr H. L. Schaeffer on New Year's Day, 1909, also on f. Triumph. In spite of several attempts on other makes of machines, this record has l stood to the credit of the Triumph for three years. Mir Erathwaite left the Wellington Post Office at 4.20 a.m. on New Year's Day, and arrived at the Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., his time being 6hTS. 38min., Towerimg the previous record by nearly two hours. The Triumph ran perfectly from start to finish, the, only two stops being to take in petrol and oil. It is only perfect machines made from the finest material procurable thai can average 33i miles an hour over 230 miles- of New Zealand roads. Those who were at the NapierPost Office at the finish could not help but remark on the perfect condition of the machine at the finish. I The Triumph! i 9 mot only made for I speed. It has proved itself to- be the machine for Shard work and long I wear, and is perfectly adapted to New Zealand roads. We can deliver ! both fixed and free engine models , from stock, and would be pleased to | give trial nuis to intending purohasers at aH times.
