THE MEMBER FOR OTAKI
•—. URGED TO VOTE FOR WARD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., Last Night. At.ii meeting of llaxmill,hands, held here to-day, the present political situation was considered, and it was resolved to free Mr J. Robertson, the member for Otaki, who was nominated by the Flax Employees Unions, from his pledge to vote against Sir Joseph Ward, and to strongly urge him to vote for the Government on the noconfidence onotion. The motion was carried by acclamation, with only two dissentients, both of whom, it was explained, had no vote in the Otaki electorate, while the others had, and represented tfl parts. The meeting closed with chee-i-fc for "Robinson and Radicalism."
