"FAKING" OF SHEEP.

That hardy annual, the ;'slieapifaker," was again in evidence at the Mastertpn. show, and it would appear that the warning given last year has not been heeded. The Association has placed itself unreservedly in the hands of the judges, and if these gentlemen award jpr./os to animals which have been excessively trimmed, then the public has no redress. If trimming to excess is to be regarded as legitimate, then it is'well that the public, as well as breeders, should be cognisant of the fact, and all judges should be instructed that the practice is not to prejudice an exhibit. It is an utter farce for one judge to "pass out" a trtmimed sheep, and for another to award prizes to animals similarly dealt with.
