The New Zealand Amateur Athletic Championships were held in Invercargill to-day. The weather was disappointing, being wet and boisterous. There were many surprises during the day, which were crowned by Southland annexing the Shield with 34 points, Canterbury 26, Auckland 20, Wellington 18, aiid Otago 14.
