NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph—Frees Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following repfort:— The 'weather has been cloudy and unset-tied in most parts of the countrv, and showery, 'especially on the "West .<3oast. The rivers are flooded on the 'West Coast of the South Island. Westerly winds, strong to gale; have prevailed, and the '.barometer has risen in the South. Present indications are for westerly and southerly winds, strong to squally in parts, with changeable weather and heavy showers in many districts. The barometer will probably rise steadily everywhere." Heavy s*eas are to be expected on all the ■western coast and in Cook and Foveaux Straits.
