INSTRUCTED BY HIS SUPPORTEES. TO VOTE AGAINST MR MASSEY. (By Telegraph —Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Last Night. Rumours that have been current in connection with tho attitude of Mr J, Payne, M.P. for Grey Lynn, towards the no-confidence motion in the Ward Government, were responsible for a meeting to-night, to which only electors of Grey Lynn who had supported 'Mr Payne were invited by advertisement. Maaiy others from other constituencies, however, attended, in eluding several well-known opponents of tho Reform Party. The only motion proposed was as follows: —"That this meeting of supporters of Mr Payne in Grey Lynn, in view of the opposition -shown recently by the Reform Party and its Press to organised labour, inoro particularly in Auckland and Wellington, call upon their representative to vote against the Reform Party on the no-confidence resolution now before the House," The motion was carried with enthusiasm.
