Tlie Mastenton Chamber of Commerce is looking for industries •to "find employment for the' people, and to stimulate trade. It-will keep on "looking until the -labour Maws are. altered an J the present restrictions are "lieniovM . There would be woollen faotories, and tanneries, and boot factories, and a dozen and one industries in progress if it were not that people can buy English, and German, and Americanmade goods at a cheaper rate. It has come to this, that the only industry in New Zealand worth a rap is that pertaining to the soil. Let us, therefore, use the whole of our ingenuity in getting people on the land.
