Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report on their EketaJiuna sale as follows :—A good yarding of all classes of stock came forward, the quality and prices also being an improvement on last week's market report. Quotations 2-tooth wethers, lis to 12s 4d shorn rapo laimbs, to 8s 3d; woolly lambs, to 8s 6d; cull lambs, 3s to 4s 7d; owes, 9s to 12s 4d; cull ewes, 2s 6d to 6s lid; 3-ycar steers, £4 15s to >£o ss; 18-mos steers, £3 10s; cows and calves, £4 9s; empty heifers, £3 10s to £4. There will be no sale next week on account of the Masterton ram fair being held on that date. Our next sale will be held on Friday, Ist March.
The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency C 0.., Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale held yesterday: —We'oft'ered a small yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep sold at last week's prices, but cattle were a little blighter. Quoations: —Cull eives, 8s 6d to 9s; aged culls, 3s to 4s 6d; 18-mo.nths steers, to £3 19s; heifers, to £3 18s; weaner calves, 25s to 355; bulls, £2 12s 6d; weaner pigs, liss-tores, 18s to 21s.
