A CANDID CRITIC.
The "Evening Post," which can hardly bo accused of being opposed to the Ward Government, deals with- the Governor's Soeech in a facetious..manner. It says" that "craft and subtlety characterise the Speech," and concludes by sading;— "We cannot see honour nor dignity, nor any lengthy term of power, for a Government which tries to lengthen its term of life by devious shifts. It is a desperate extravagance of promise."
