MISSING MEN
(By Telegraph — Press Association.) GHOR/ISfTCHUiKCH, Last Night. John Smith, aged 24, formerly a fireman on the Mararoa, was reported missing after the vessel arrived today. He had been discharged on account of an altercation, with the butcher, and was returning to Lyttelton as a steerage passenger. His berth was not occupied last night.
: (By Telegraph—Press Association.) BLENHEIM, Last Night, i 08. Des Forges, a clerk at the Blenheim gasworks, has been missing since Monday. The policß made a search on Tuesday and this morning, but saw no signs of the missing man, who is 50 years of age, with a wife and two children: Des Forges had been suffering from ill-health lately, accentuated by insomnia, and he resigned his position last Friday. His accounts were found in good order.
