SOUTH AUSTRALIAN ELECTIONS
THE GOVERNMENT'S DEFEAT. ATTRIBUTED TO BRISBANE STRIKES. Received This Morning, 12.20 o'clock ADELAIDE, Last Night. Mr Griffiths states that the defeat of the Labour Government of South Australia is a direct result of the Brisbane strike. South Australia was paralysed by the recent strikes, and farmers stampeded by the possible extension of the Brisbane trouble throughout 'Australia.- The papers told the .people .that the Labour Governments had brought about the strikes, hence the debacle. Mr Griffiths added that every prominent Labour politician regarded a strike as an obsolete weapon, and a general stride'as a nice blend of imbecility and barbarism.
