PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
A NEW CHARGE. At a meeting of Elders and Managers of the Knox Presbyterian Church, held in Masterton last night, a deputation representing the Lan&downe and country districts, presented a petition, requesting that Lansdowne and the outfields of Masterton be elected into a new charge. The petition was adopted, and " will be transmitted to the meeting of the Presbytery to-day. So far, £l7O has been guaranteed towards the stipend for the proposed charge, apart altogether from collections.
