FLOODS IN PORTUGAL
ENORMOUS DAMAGES. NUMEROUS LIVES LOST. Received This Morning, 1.20 o'clock. LISBON, February 12., The river Tagus has risen sixty feet in some places. The wine stores at Villafranca are flooded, and barrels have floated out to sea. The damage at Villafranca is estimated at £200,000, and the damage in riverside districts exceeds £2,250,000. One hundred and fifty persons have been drowned at various places. Thousands of barrels of wine, and standing crops, have been destroyf-d at Cadiz, where the sea tore 'up three miles of railway.
