DRUIDS' CONFERENCE

OPENED AT MARTON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) MARTON, Last Night. The Druids' Conference opened at Marton to-day, there being over 60 delegates present. The Grand President (iMr Wade, of Hastings) presided, and only routine business was transacted. Mr Hayes, Registrar of friendly Societies, nnd Mr Traversi, Government Actuary, arrived , this afternoon, when tlie Grand Lodge adjourned the meeting. Mr Hayes stated that he had come to Mai-ton prepared to assist the Delegates. Mr Traversi was staying for the Conference fn order to help ; the delegates in their deliberations. Mr Hayes said that it was the wish of his department to assist Friei\dlv Societies, and both would do all'they could to enable the Conference to come to a decision on questions df importance to be dealt with.
