THE BUCHANAN HOME.
The movement started in Grey town to suitably recognise the generosity of Mr W. C. Buchanan, M.P., in providing a Home for Incurables in the Wairarapa, is one which sliould have the hearty co-operation of the whole district. The public-spirited-ness of Mr Buchanan is too wellknown to call for comment at our hands. His private and public benefactions, spread over a long period of years, will probably never be known to the fullest'. And probably Mr Buchanan is the last man in the world to seek either reward or recognition. Still, when men are moved to acts of benevolence in the way that the squire of Tupurupuru Las been moved ill respect to the Home for Incurables, these acts should be recognised in such a way as to inspire others to emulate the example. If a public testimonial were presented, bearing the names of those who are truly grateful, a valued tribute j sliould be forthcoming.
