At the Police Court to-day, Mr Cutten, S.M., gave his reserved judgment in the cases of James Ernest McCarthy and Joseph Brown, •who were charged "with, betting at •Sllerslie on January Ist, in the •view of persons frequenting the racecourse. Both were convicted, - and •!ined £2O each.
