This picture drama of a great sporting event, the Melbourne Cup,' won by Caloola, against almost impossible' odds, discloses all the machinations, unflagging neasures and daring • manipulation# and plots to prevent a noble, animal from winning • the coveted prize of the Australian turf. The. story shows the meet at Drayton Court, the hunt breakfast, the elopement, the attempted murder, the dismissal of the trainer, Tattersall's Club, Sydney, the plot to nobble the favourite, the popular jockey 'of the day, the, attack on the stables, Caloola knocked - out off'the betting, the blackmailer, Caloola lan e, the night, before the Cup, Flernington racecourse. a world of fashion, the boeusfiing' of Wd's, Jke Thurston; .rides Caloola and wins. These only a few of the striking events contained in what is described as, the most thrilling drama on record. Mr Alfred Boothroan graphically describes the whole story, lending much charm to the production, and fascinating thespectators from, start to finish. A number of other excellent subjects lull be shown, including ''Captain Barnacle's Baby : ' ("a screaming Vitagraph comedy), "in Tdle Boast" <"' a Lubin drama), ".The '■ Dare-devil" (a Biograph comedy), English Lakes, Rathe Gazette; Smiler Tries Ju .Titsu, and Strength of Insects.
