DISTRICT NURSING SCHEME
AN APPREHENSIVE MEMBER. When the question of the district nursing scheme came before the v\ airarapa • Hospital and Charitable Aid Board in Masterton yesterday, the Chairman., explained that the arranging of details was in the hands of a sub-committee representing the 1 Ambulance Society and the Board. Mr Fisher pointed out that a sum of £6OO was available to start the system, and none of this was provided by the Board. (Mi- R- G. Welch J.l:e opinion that ultimately the mafnlenance of the nurses- would fail upon the Board-. He feared that the nurses would be utilised by many who could afford to pay. Mr Bolton agreed with Mr Webb. ' Othei'." members stated would' be no danger, of such a> thing happening. .The s.U.b-coniinittee .could be trusted to look after the affairs. :
