WONDERFUL RECORD OF SUCCESSES ON TRIUMPH MOTOR CYCLES.At tJhe H.B. Motor Cycle Club's sports held on the Hastings Racecourse on" 1 Boxing Day, tihe Triumphs again practically swept the board. Out of an entry of 12 ma chines representing 5 different makeßi the Triumphs . secured ten firsts, seven seconds, and 4 thirds oat of a possible eleven events. , This performance is *UI the more remarkable when it is con&ißered illiat the Triumphs had to concede liarge handicaps to machines of equal power and six of the ten fir&fc machines were' ridden by amateur riders. On Satiwday. December 30tih,' Mr <T. L. Braithwaite left for Wellington on his Triumph motor cycle to make am attempt on the existing figures of the Wellington to Napier - record—viz., Bhrs 35mi<n., established by Mr H. L. Schaeffer on.New Year's Day, 1909, also on a Triumph. In spite or several attempts on other manes of machines, this record lias' stood to the credit of the Triumph for three years. Mr Bnathwiaate left the Wellington Post Office at 4.30 a.m. oo New Year's Day, aaid arrived at the Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., his time being Stors. 38min., Towertug the previous record by nearly two hours. The Triumph ran perlfeotly from start to finish, the only two stops being to take in petrol and oil. It is only perfect machines made from the finest material procurable that can average 33i miles an hour over 230 miles of New Zealand roads. t Those who were at the Napier Post Office at the finish couTd not help but remark on the perfect condition of the machine at the finish. The Triumph is mot only made for speed. It has proved itself to be tihe machine for hard work and long wear, and is perfectly adapted to New Zealand roads.
