THE REAL DIFFICULTY FISCAL AUTONOMY. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) LONDON, February 3. Mr J. M. Robertson, Liberal M.P. for Tyheside, Northumberland, speaking in London, said the real difficulty in regard to Home Rule was Ireland's claim to a complete, absolute . unchecked fiscal autonomy. If this were granted, it would imply the disintegration of the United Kingdom. There was no hope for a Home Rule Bill embodying such a claim. OTHER OPINIONS.

LONDON, February 2... The Times states that, despite flhe report of the Financial Committee, the Government has decided thiait Irish Customs and Excise shall remain under imperial control. Messrs J. Redmond and J. Dillon, M.P.'s, agree with the decision, but good judges believe that the National Assemfbly will reject the Homp Rule Bill unless it provides for fiscal autonomy. The Chronicle, in a forecast rt the Bill, however,"states that Ireland has full control of the Customs and hxcise subject to the continuation of British freetrade, and will received a .subsidiary of £2,000,000 for fifteen years.
