The Labour Conference adopted the planks for the fighting platform in the- following order: — Constitutional reform, including'the abolition of the Legislative Council, and substituting therefor initiative and referendum, and the abolition of the office of State G'overnor. j Effective land settlement, embrae-! ing the cessation of the sale of Crown . lands. State Bank and taxation of land values. i Nationalisation of. health. ! Providing free medical and nursing services and State maintenance of Hospitals.. ' j Supervision- of dangerous and un- j healthy, occupations. F<xni table industrial laws with .regulation hours of labour and a minimum wage. •Plank 5 favours free secondary, technical and University education, and free school material. 1 . Plank 6 (favours the establishment of State iron-works.
