THEFT OF HATS

MAN AFtKESTED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) .. . Last Night/ A labourer named Knud Edingbreth Betrgjm.ann was .arrested to-day on a, charge of stealing sixty-eight men's felt hats, (the property of Mackay, Logan, Caldwell and Go. The hats were recently found to be missing fr'om a case of hats received' by the firm named, and a hat, worn by Bei-gnuum-, was observed by Detective Powell to resemble those in the pillaged case, and after further inquiries the, arrest, followed. The police afterwards took possession of pix more hats which were found in Bergman n's house. ,
