Mr FniHer- as ticket inspector was pending, a secret 'ballot was, taken among the members of the Tramways Union, as to whether,, supposing Fuller is retained, they should give notice to strike. The number of ballot papers returned was 350,. and of these .275 were in favour of a strike, 66 against, and 9 informal. About 50 ■members, it is understood, have not voted.
