In regard to this matter, we notice that our Carterton contemporary is urging the claims of Mr Buchanan to Cabinet 1 rank. Few will be found to deny that the member for Wairarapa has the experience and ability necessary ito fill a position in the Ministry. Mr Buchanan will, however, probably recognise that it would be impolitic of hiiro to accept a portfolio, even if it iwere offered him. The suspicion that the Massey Government is dominated iby the large land-holder must not be encouraged. MV Ma&sey may be trusted to steer clear of the rock upon which his Party would assuredly come to grief.
