A SUGGESTED COMPROMISE FOR HONOURABLE PEACE. (Received uast Night, 11.15 o'clock.) VIENtN-a, Jtanuavy 25. Tlie newspaper "Reichspost" suggests that Italy offer Turkey the bulk lof her East .African possessions in exchange ,for Tripoli and Qyrenaica, to enable Turkey to conclude honourable peace negotiations.
DEFEAT OF ITALIANS. PURSUED^BY ARABS. , FIFTY CORPSES FOUND. Received T3i!s Morning, 12.5 o'clock. TUNIS, Jianuary 25. Advices from Tripoli state that three battalions of Italian infantry and a small body of cavalry were heavily defeated while endeavouring to recapture Sensur, westward of Tripoli. ' ' The Arabs pursued them to the outskirts of Tripoli, expelling them from their entrenchments, where ' sixty Italian corpses/were found.
