MR FISHER INTERVIEWED.
It lias been left to Mr E. D. Ho ben, the incomparable interviewer of Palmer ston North, to secure a definite pronouncement from the Comtm-on-wealtth Prime Minister concerning his views on tlie question of reciprocity with New Zealand. According to ftJhis pronouncement, Mi' Fisher is qwite infatuated with this Dominion, and if lie cannot secure us as partners in a non-paying business, he will iat least strive to make us good customers of that business. That Ne v Zealand is prepared to enter into negotiations which will be for the mutual good, goes -without saying. But. we do not intend becoming partners —not even in the reckless im vv scheme. It is to be hoped that iUr, Hoben does not give any assnramen ou lx>lialf-of New Zealand!
