The two-year-old event again went to Styx, the son of Achilles, the Hon. J. D. Ormond's Birkenhead filly, Glade, filling second place. The "Highden" stable did very well at tihe meeting, securing seven wins. Also started— Coroimandel 8.9, Men dip 8.7, Flingot 7.9, Splash 7.2. Odessa went out early, and was followed by Coromandel and Mendip. At the six furlong post, Odessa was two lengths clear of the field, then came Mendip. Coromandel, Masterpiece and Midnight Son. Entering the straight, the order was the same, with Midnight Sun go in a: up to second place oppo ite the stand. Won by a length and a lisalf. Time, 2min. 9secs.

Oity Handicap, of 300 stovs., six furlongs.— Mr .J. Buckley's Dearest 8.3, (B. Deeley) 1; Full Rate 8.7. 2 ; Royal Scotch 8.5, 3. Also started— Gladiole 9.1, Gipsy Bello S.B.
