ESCAPE FROM PRISON

WELLINGTON, Last Night.

George Arm.itage, a Burn'ham .school boy. serving three years, and Arthur Thomas Reid,. serving , two years, both for breaking and entering, escaped front the Mount Cook prison gang this afternoon, but were both captured before sundown. Reid was arrested a few minutes after escaping, but Armitage remained at large for nearly three hours. Both submitted tamely when caught, offering no resistance.
