N.S.W. RETURNS DEPOSITS AND ADVANCES INCREASED. Received This Morning, 1.5 o'clock. SYDNEY, January 19. The New South Wales, banking averages for the December quarter show a drop of 3£ per cent, in proportion to the cash liabilities on the quarter. The September quarter was excessive. The deposits of the year increased by £5,263,000, and advances increased by £6,054,000 on the year, nearly 15 per cent.
