CATHOLIC SCHOOL PICNIC
HELD AT NEWMAN. The annual picnic and sports of the Wairarapa and Bush Districts Schools (Roman Catholic) was held .on the Domain at" Newman yesterday. In spite of the threatening aspect of the weather, 250 persons travelled from Masterton, while about the same number assembled from the Bush Districts. All the arrangements' wea-e carried out capably by the Very Rev. Dean McKenna, and Fathers Tom McKenna, Bo we and Hartnett, and a very enjoyable day was spent" by all. Before dispersing, three hearty cheers were given for the* Dean.
