HOMING PIGEON FLYING

A FEDERATION RACE. An interesting homing pigeon race was flown yesterday from Peranga (the most northerly town' in New Zealand), the event being a "Federation" race between the Palmer ston North, Masterton and Wellington Clubs. The 'airline distances to the various towns are:— Palmerston N.. •tvU miles; Master con, 460 miles; and Wellington 430 miles.
