HOSPITAL COMMITTEE
MONTHLY MEETING. A meeting, of the Masterton Hospital Committee was held at the conclusion of the Charitable Aid Committee's meeting on Tuesday morning. There were present,— Messrs J. B. Keith (presiding), W. Fisher, J. C. Ewington, D. .J. Canierom, M. J. H. Jackson, Jas. Miller and J I'. J. O'Leary.
Til© treasurer's statement was as follows: Balance from last meeting., £354 14 d 9; receipts for month, including a grant of £4BO 15s from the il>istrict Hospital Board 1 , £478 Is Bd. The expenditure for the month., including an amount of £240 9s 4d transferred to iilie District Hospital Board'is for the purpose of obtaining the Government subsidy on same, amounted to £497 lis 4d, lenvmig a credit balance at date of £345 8s Id. Accounts for the (month., ammmfcinig to £lO5 14s Bd, were passed, for payment.
<\tr H. Byford's tender of £35 10s for the glassing-in of the north-west-eni endi of each* of two verandahs at the Mastertoni Hospital, according t-o specifications submitted, was accepted.
Mr Eiwington's offer for the right to cut grass seed, on the Hospital property, was accepted by the Committee.
Mil* Murray J. H. Jackson was appointed visiting member or the ensuing month.
