I i , FINANCE COMMITTTE MEETING. A meeting of the Finance Committee of the Wlairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was held in the Secretary's offi°e vn 1 afternoon). Tiier'e were present,— MessrsE. Gr. Eton (chairman), W. Fisher, J)U J. Cameron and J. C. Ewington. The treasurer reported as follows! —Balance from last Board meeting,. £2150 18s lid; receipts, £386- Oa 6d; (total, £2536 19s sd._ The expenditure for tlie same .period. anDoun,teclto £2141 4s Bd, leaving a credit ballamce at date of £395 14s 9d. The distribution of balances was as foillows : Ordinary maiiitenao.ee. acolount, credit, £B9 5s 8d ; capital Jkrad. aecoimt, credit, £'222 13s 4d; Mar* tinborough Amibulance fund account,, debit, £6O 6s'Bd; and Masterten Division St. JoKti Ambulance Society account, debit, £23 9s- Id. Correspondence was dealt with, in detail, and the secretary instructed as. to ithte action to be taken in conmection with individual cases. . Tlie MairtinborougJi Ambuliane©Committee wrote stating that their-'ainlbu-llance .brougham- had come to> Jiand, and was now available for theuse ■<.? tEiose unfortunate enough, to requke its services. The reports of Inspectors Cairns and Miller were lliaid upon the table, la-nd a-eceived. .
Accounts amounumg to £1 18s 9d were, passed l for payment, and the action of the chairman in approving the (payment of aeooimts as per schedule submitted was approved. A recommend'ation- in respect: of the office administration; was unanimously a.proveiif by ithe Committee for presentation to the next Board meeting, after which the meeting adjourned.
