THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES, j •Record houses greeted the final ex- j Qiibitions of .the current programme lat ' the Foresters' Han on Saturday last. 1 The <new programme this evening includes the latest and best .productions | of the Vitagraph, A.8., and Essanay firms, and aSelig and a Cinos picture are included. "The Old Captain" is a vivid niul powerful drama of the sea, and is one of the strongest nautical stories yet presented. "The Pal's Oath" is a very absorbing drama of Western 'life, and is unique in its liunuui interest. "JWy's Adventures" is a picture story of the dashing horsemansnip type, told in the wild back woods of the west, and is full of thrilling and exciting incidents from start to finish, which must hold the onlooker in a firm grip. An industrial subject of considerable merit and beautifully coloured is a film, .showing the manufacturing of artificial -flowers. A marvellous exposition of dramatic intensity will be found in "Divided Interests," which is a melodrama of the most pleasing type. "How Betty Won the School" is a Vitagraph "masterpiece, and shows how Betty lassoed the burglar. A very interesting subject i® one portraying the latest American disaster, '"The big floods in Pennsylvania." Some very tunny comics complete the list. ' Of these '"Trawling the Counterfeiters,'' "Willie at a' Cine Show," are of the best. The orchestra will render some specially chosen litems suitable to the picture subjects, and, altogether, T.-P. patrons may look' forward to a very enjoyable evening's entertainiineiit.
