SOCIALISTS POLL WELL CENTRE PARTY ON TOP. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) BERILIN, January 13. The poMng at the elections wos heavy. The SociaMfitts fliold five seats in Berlin, and expect, after the second ballot, to unseat a sixth from the Radicals. Hertrs Behel (leader of the Socialists), Ledebour, Zudeal, David Valmaar, and Dr Prank -were triumphantly re-elected, and Herr Bersmin wresIted Breslan West from the Radicals.. The latter lost town, : K6e~ nigsberg tovm, Zittan and -Bremen ■• to the Socialists. Other Socialist victories were Magdeburg, Randow,. Hphdinden, and the. First Division of Brunswick Cfettire. The Radicals lost Rieohemback and Neerodie to the Socialists, and the National Liberals lost Kirchberg, DbbeHhi, Aundiberg Division, of Saxony, Isslangen, Darmstadt West, and HaveUand to the Socialist:;. The latter have already regained one third of their losses of 1907. Altogether they have nineteen gains and two losses. AH three seats in Hamburg were retained. •.Forty-nine of the Centre Party, forty-five Socialists', nine Conservatives, eight.
