CHRISTCHUROH, Last Night. A hastily summoned meeting of the Canterbury Cricket Association's Committee was held to-day, when a letter was read from the Wellington Cricket Association coveiang a challenge to play for the Plunket Shield on January 26th and following days. It was at first thought that the match with Auckland, which is to ;bo commenced on .February 9th, should take precedence, but after mature consideratii.vi and ..having regard to the rules governing Plunket Slrield matches, it was decided to accept the challenge for the dates, suggested.- : ■'•':'■
